Network Engineer [On-Site - Cincinnati]

Position Title: Senior IT Network Engineer

Reports To: IT Operations Product Owners

Position Summary

The Network Engineer will design, implement, maintain, and optimize the organization’s network infrastructure across two data centers and multiple remote sites. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of critical systems, including firewalls, SD-WAN, switching, and unified communications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise-grade networking technologies and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and network optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless networks to support business operations.
• Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco switches, and Meraki SD-WAN devices.
• Support and optimize the Webex cloud phone system and related voice infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements for reliability and scalability.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide Tier 3 escalation support.
• Implement and enforce network security best practices, including VPNs, segmentation, and access controls.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware procurement, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Conduct capacity planning and recommend technology upgrades aligned with business growth.
• Stay current with emerging networking technologies and security trends.
