Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Concrete Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will support various phases of concrete work on construction sites, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects while gaining valuable experience in the construction industry, with potential exposure to project management tools and techniques. Take home vehicle is negotiable.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and pouring of concrete according to project specifications
- Operate basic tools and equipment such as mixers, vibrators, and measuring devices
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements
- Ensure proper placement and finishing of concrete surfaces
- Maintain safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards and construction site regulations (will pay for OSHA training)
- Support quality control measures by inspecting work for adherence to standards
- Collaborate with supervisors and management to meet project deadlines and specifications
- Use construction management software for documentation, and tracking progress
- Assist in the setup and teardown of formwork and reinforcement materials
- Support project teams with general labor tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Prior construction site experience, particularly in concrete work
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating
- Understanding of project budgeting, and quality control processes
- OSHA certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
- Experience supervising or managing small teams is required
- Ability to operate equipment is required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Physical ability to perform demanding labor tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
