Role Description
Lasher, a 50 year-old firm with many of its lawyers recognized in Chambers High Net Worth, Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers of Washington, is seeking a tax/business/estate planning attorney with an LL.M. in tax or comparable tax experience (i.e., CPA). Lasher offers interesting clients, rewarding legal work, and an opportunity to build a solid long-term legal career.
Candidates should have three years of experience and will contribute to a broad range of tax matters with a focus on complex intergenerational company tax planning. The candidate should also be proficient in federal income tax matters (related to individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, and trusts), taxable and tax-free mergers, acquisitions and dispositions of domestic companies. There are ample opportunities to perform research and analysis.
The successful candidate will draft correspondence to clients, prepare important memorandums, and design complex company succession plans. Strong communication skills (both oral and written), analytical ability, technical ability, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team are imperative.
The annual base salary range for this position is $145,000.00 – $185,000.00 (dependent upon years of experience) plus additional performance-based and discretionary bonuses. Qualifications
- Three years of experience in a broad range of tax matters with a focus on complex intergenerational company tax planning
- Proficiency in federal income tax matters (related to individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, and trusts), taxable and tax-free mergers, acquisitions and dispositions of domestic companies
- Ability to prepare important memorandums, and design complex company succession plans
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association
Salary : $145,000 - $185,000
