CNC Machinist / Setup – 1st Shift
Pay: $25.00–$35.00/hour based on experience and skill level
LaserForm, LLC is looking for a CNC Machinist to join our 1st Shift machining team. This position will primarily involve setting up and operating a HAAS VF-9 Vertical Machining Center in a custom job shop environment.
We're looking for someone who can confidently set up and run CNC equipment, make adjustments as needed, and produce quality parts. HAAS experience is a plus, but experience with other CNC vertical machining centers will be considered.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC Vertical Machining Centers, primarily a HAAS VF-9
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Select and install tooling
- Make tool and offset adjustments
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other measuring equipment
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
- Troubleshoot machining and quality issues
- Make adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensions
- Follow safety and quality procedures
What We're Looking For
- CNC machining experience
- Experience setting up and operating CNC Vertical Machining Centers
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment
- Understanding of machining tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable attendance and a good work ethic
HAAS experience and CNC programming/editing experience are preferred, but not required.
