Welder (day & afternoon shifts available)

Laser North, a laser cutting and fabrication specialist, is hiring Welders to join their team in Baraga, Michigan. As a Welder, you'll play a vital role in fitting and welding components to create top-quality products efficiently, while upholding the highest standards of safety and excellence in our field. Shifts Available:

• Day shift: Monday - Thursday 5am – 2:30pm; Friday 5am – 9am.
• Afternoon Shift: Monday – Thursday 2:30pm - 12:30am.

What You Will Do:

• Maintain effective welding operations to meet customer demands and provide on-time delivery.
• Fabricate complex weldments per customer requirements and specifications.
• Take ownership of organizing and cleaning specified work areas in the welding department.
• Take the initiative to help other production areas as needed.
• Communicate with the Leadership Team when necessary.

What We Are Looking For:

• Self-motivation and an excellent work ethic are required.
• 1 or more years of professional welding experience preferred.
• Possess a welding certification, or the ability to become AWS certified.
• You should be able to read and understand welding blueprints.
• Experience utilizing precise measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Ability to balance a sense of urgency while maintaining the highest level of safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Adhere to business rules, safe work practices, and proper lifting techniques is required.
