Lasell Village is a unique life plan community with education at its heart, located on the beautiful campus of Lasell University in Newton. We are a caring and vibrant community home to more than 225 residents in independent living apartments, supported living studios, and a 5-star skilled nursing and rehabilitative facility.
We have openings at Lasell House, our skilled nursing and rehab floor and the Studios Supported Living Unit
Wellness Center Hours are 7:00am- 8:00pm.

Job Description:
Patient Care
- Treat all residents fairly, with kindness, dignity and respect, provide nursing care in privacy
- Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive Protected Health Information (PHI) at all times
- Provides patient care in a manner conductive to safety and comfort. Patient care includes, but is not limited to:
- Keep patients dry (change gown and linens when wet or soiled)
- Assist with meals and daily snacks as indicated
- Assists patient with or performs Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
- Obtains and records Vital Signs and weights per policy
- Assists patients with ambulation and transfers
- Positions patients in correct body alignment in and out of bed
- Applies adaptive equipment as ordered
- Cares for personal belongings
- Assists physician and/or licensed nurse with treatments and procedures as needed
- Makes both occupied and unoccupied beds
- Notify licensed nurse if patient identification is missing
- Participates in the care planning process and implements care according to care plan
- Performs skin care treatments, as permitted by state regulation
- Applies simple clean dressings, slings, stockings and support bandages, under direction of the licensed nurse, as permitted by state regulation
- Feeds or assists patients with meals and provides additional nourishment and hydration per care plan
- Maintain intake and output records as instructed
- Answers call light or bell promptly delivers messages, cleans areas of spillage or accidents
- Uses standard precautions when caring for all patients. Adheres to Contact and/or droplet precautions as indicated
- Reports changes in patient's condition, patient/family concerns or complaints to charge nurse and/or supervisor
- Report all complaints and grievances made by the resident.
Requirements:
. Valid CNA certification
· A minimum of one year full-time or equivalent clinical experience.
· Knowledge of established best practices and standards of nursing care.
· Must relate confidentially, professionally, and positively with residents, families, and other employees at all levels.
· Must be able to work independently.
· Excellent verbal and written communication/critical thinking skills.
