Well-established Westchester County, N.Y. General Contractor/Construction Manager seeks an experienced Field Superintendent for construction projects in Westchester/Rockland and Hudson Valley Region. Candidate should have more than 10 years’ experience, strong print reading ability, excellent organizational skills, be effective in oral and written communication, and be familiar with construction field operations. Candidate should be capable of managing subcontractors and suppliers. Prior experience shall include projects with challenging site conditions, foundations, a variety of superstructures, new construction and renovation. Project locations include Westchester, Rockland Counties and the Hudson Valley, and include Country Clubs, Mid-Rise apartment buildings, schools, hospitals, interior office fit ups,and commercial projects. The firm pursues private-sector work only. No public work or publicly bid projects.Education:Minimum High School Diploma, college degree preferred.Specific responsibilities include:Overall responsibility for the management of the project field operation including but not limited to:Assure work conforms with plans and specifications.Implement and enforce Project Safety PlanConduct Subcontractor meetingsProduce 2/4 week look ahead schedulesManage all site logisticsSchedule and coordinate all subcontractorsAssess subcontractor percentage of completionManage daily tickets for any work performed on a T&M basis.Manage inspections from local municipality and third party inspectorsSoftware Platforms:1.
