Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Investment Associate/Analyst to support our investment team in managing multi-asset client portfolios. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of portfolio construction and rebalancing, be proficient with trading tools, and hold the necessary licenses. In addition to core investment responsibilities, this role will contribute to business development and marketing initiatives and may evolve to include direct management of client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management & Trading Support
- Monitor and analyze client portfolios daily to ensure alignment with investment objectives and risk parameters.
- Assist with portfolio rebalancing across asset classes including equities, fixed income, ETFs, and mutual funds.
- Execute trades and allocations using trading platforms, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain and update portfolio models, benchmarks, and investment strategy documentation.
- Collaborate with the CIO, portfolio managers, and traders, to implement investment strategies and tactical adjustments.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare performance reports, attribution analysis, and investment commentary for internal use and client reporting.
- Support the development of investment insights and research to inform portfolio decisions.
Business Development & Marketing Support
- Assist in the creation of investment-related content for marketing materials, pitchbooks, and client presentations.
- Collaborate with the business development team to provide data, analysis, and insights that support client acquisition and retention efforts.
- Contribute to the development of thought leadership pieces, market updates, and educational content for clients and prospects.
Client Relationship Support
- Provide operational and analytical support for client service teams.
- Participate in client meetings and communications as needed.
- Over time, take on responsibility for managing client relationships, including portfolio oversight, reporting, and day-to-day inquiries.
Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Support operational processes related to trading, reporting, and data integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in investment management, trading, or portfolio analysis.
- Licensing required: Series 7 and Series 66 (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with trading platforms and portfolio management systems (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar, Orion, Advyzon).
- Strong understanding of financial instruments including equities, fixed income, ETFs, mutual funds and private markets.
- Proficiency in Excel or other analytical tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with portfolio rebalancing tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of performance attribution and risk metrics.
- Exposure to model portfolio construction and implementation.
- Experience supporting marketing or business development teams with investment content.
- Interest in developing client relationship management skills.
