What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commissary Worker position at LaSalle Southeast LLC?
Deliver commissary goods to detainees
Satisfactorily perform duties alone on the housing units/floors for periods of time.
Competently operate Commissary equipment including software and ordering system.
Transport goods from the receiving dock to the assigned location or Commissary shelf storage
facility
Assist with taking weekly counts of all inventory.
Maintain a clean storage area and use proper trash containers.
Handle situations that require prompt attention and/or action and immediately report issues.
Retain, follow, and implement general information and detailed instructions
Educations and Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
Must have a valid driver's license.
No Criminal Record – No Arrests
Ability to pass a drug test
Two (2) years full-time, wage-earning experience. Preferably with commissary, retail sales, or
inventory management background or (1) year full-time, wage-earning correctional custody or law
enforcement experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without
assistance. Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 75
pounds. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Move at a speed that is
required to respond to work situations (e. g., run, walk, jog).
Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e. g., small print). Visually inspect tools,
equipment, or machines (e. g., to identify defects).
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and
stooping. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
