Job Description
Maintenance Technician will be responsible, under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, for assisting in overall day-to-day maintenance of mobile home community and community-owned homes and lawn mowing/landscaping as directed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain community curb appeal by grounds pick-up, sweeping, mowing, and landscaping
- Make ready units for new move-ins and conduct service repair calls for all community owned homes as directed
- Light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting, sewer rodding
- Repair and/or replace bathroom fixtures such as sinks, toilets and showers; kitchen fixtures and appliances, doors and cabinets; walls, carpeting, flooring, and windows; indoor plumbing; and building exteriors including siding and roof repair
- Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance, when needed
- Responsible for snow removal, operation of bobcat or truck with plow
- Follow established guidelines as it relates to safety rules and regulations in accordance with Company policy and OSHA requirements
- Meet with Maintenance Manager daily to report on the status of all scheduled maintenance work
- Other duties as assigned.
General Requirements:
- Work hours are typically M-F, 8:00 am-4:30 pm with weekends off (except for occasional appointments, open houses, and possible on call emergencies)
- Must be able to lift, pull, push and carry up to 60 pounds
- Able to effectively communicate with residents, vendors, contractors, employees and supervisors
- Ability to use various power and hand tools.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED and Valid Driver’s License required. Background Check Required.
