About the Silver Stars

The Las Vegas Silver Stars are an established women's tackle football organization entering our eighth season in the Women's National Football Conference (WNFC). For seven seasons, the Silver Stars have provided women the opportunity to compete at a high level while building a culture rooted in teamwork, resilience, leadership, and community. As we enter our next chapter, we are intentionally expanding our leadership structure to build a sustainable organization that will continue to serve athletes and the Las Vegas community for years to come. We are looking for people who want to help build one of the premier women's football organizations in the country.


Position Summary

The General Manager serves as the operational leader of the football program, working alongside ownership, coaches, players, and staff to ensure the organization runs efficiently on and off the field.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, leading people, solving problems, and helping an established organization reach its next level.


Primary Responsibilities

Football Operations

  • Oversee player recruitment and roster management.
  • Coordinate player onboarding.
  • Assist with league compliance and team administration.
  • Support scheduling, travel, and game-day logistics.

Organizational Leadership

  • Help develop and improve organizational processes.
  • Collaborate with coaches and team leadership on strategic planning.
  • Recruit and support volunteers and football operations staff.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and the overall player experience.

Community & Growth

  • Represent the Silver Stars professionally within the WNFC and the Las Vegas community.
  • Assist with community outreach and relationship building.
  • Support sponsorship, fundraising, and organizational growth initiatives when appropriate.


Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Leadership or management experience.
  • Football experience as a player, coach, official, or administrator (preferred but not required).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A passion for women's sports and building successful organizations.


Time Commitment

This is a volunteer leadership position with a flexible schedule. Most responsibilities can be completed remotely and on your own schedule, with in-person attendance expected for games, select practices, meetings, and organizational events. Time commitment varies throughout the year with the busiest periods happening during preseason and the season. We understand our volunteers have careers and families, so we are flexible. We are looking for someone who can make a meaningful, consistent contribution while helping us build the future of organization.


Compensation

This position is currently unpaid.

As the organization continues to grow, the Silver Stars are committed to developing sustainable leadership positions with future compensation opportunities as resources allow.

Within the first year, the General Manager will help:

  • Improve football operations and organizational structure.
  • Strengthen player recruitment and retention.
  • Build reliable systems that support coaches and athletes.
  • Enhance communication throughout the organization.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and long-term success of the Las Vegas Silver Stars.

The Ideal Candidate

Our ideal General Manager is someone who enjoys building organizations, solving problems, developing relationships, and helping others succeed. They don't need to have all the answers on day one, but they should be proactive, dependable, collaborative, and excited about growing women's football in Las Vegas.
