Las Vegas Petroleum, a premier provider of travel center services, is looking for a dedicated and efficient Prep Cook to enhance our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting in the kitchen to ensure high-quality meals are served promptly to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes, ensuring they meet the quality standards of our kitchen.
- Assist with the cooking process, including setting up cooking stations and organizing supplies.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene by washing utensils and equipment, and following food safety protocols.
- Label, store, and handle food items in compliance with health regulations.
- Support chefs during meal service and help with plating and presentation of dishes.
- Participate in inventory management and report any shortages to kitchen management.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Prior experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred.
- Understanding of food safety guidelines and proper kitchen practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork in the kitchen.
