Develop New Business:
- Meet or exceed annual sales goals for incremental hotel room nights by identifying, pursuing, and securing new sports and special event opportunities from professional, collegiate, and amateur organizations.
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of priority event opportunities across professional, collegiate, and amateur sports markets.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and outreach to RFP response, negotiation, and contract execution. Advance target opportunities through the sales cycle at a pace that supports revenue and booking commitments.
- Execute sales strategies that expand market share, penetrate emerging event segments, and drive measurable destination revenue in partnership with local event promoters and stakeholders, securing new bookings that align with LVCVA strategic priorities and drive measurable destination-impact.
- Represent the LVCVA at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings to actively generate, advance, and close new business.
- Cultivate and leverage relationships with event rights-holders, federations, and agencies to secure bookings for Las Vegas.
- Be aware of industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts that influence event placement decisions and inform opportunity pipeline strategy.
- Provide forward-looking insights and recommendations to strengthen LVCVA and industry partners’ strategic positioning to capture new business opportunities.
- Perform all sales tracking, reporting, and administrative requirements accurately and timely.
- Manage contract obligations, revenue forecasting, and maintain accurate sales documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred, or a high school diploma plus additional equivalent experience required.
- Two years of sports events sales experience preferred.
- Proven sports events knowledge with familiarity working with event rights holders, federations, and event owners.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Ability to travel when necessary, and able to work outside of regular business hours. Must have, or be able to obtain, a Real ID or Passport.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, mission partners, and co-workers in a variety of formats.
- Proficient in computers and Microsoft Office products.

Salary : $80,500 - $110,650
