Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor residents’ health by observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams promptly.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, ensuring proper food handling and cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations, documenting all medication activities accurately.
- Support residents in participating in community activities, social outings, and recreational programs to promote engagement and independence.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols.
- Follow detailed care plans designed by healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality support aligned with each resident’s needs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, autism support, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are a plus.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach toward residents’ emotional and physical well-being.
- A valid driver’s license (if required for transportation duties) and willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
