Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess Associate's degree or higher or 48 credit hours from an accredited college/university; or pass the Para Pro test or
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a level three Educational Assistant licensure issued by the New Mexico Public Education Department
• Fluent in the use of American Sign Language as evidenced by successful American Sign Language demonstration administered through the Special Education Department or provides Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.0 or above
• Experience and knowledge of deaf culture
