Social Media Internship

Airington Law / Las Abogadas RVA is seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Social Media Intern to support our firm's social media presence through the end of the year. This temporary, part-time internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in content creation, social media strategy, and audience engagement and analytics. This position will collaborate with our team to develop content that reflects the firm's brand and connects with our audience.

Compensation: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Engagement

• Create engaging social media content, including graphics, short-form videos, Facebook posts, captions, and other platform-appropriate materials.
• Review existing content to understand and maintain the firm's brand identity, voice, values, and messaging.
• Research content ideas based on current trends, relevant topics, audience interests, and firm initiatives.
• Monitor audience interactions and identify opportunities to strengthen the firm's online presence.
• Recommend creative strategies to increase reach, attract new followers, and improve engagement.
• Apply insights from successful posts to future content ideas and social media strategies.

Content Planning & Publishing

• Maintain an organized content calendar outlining topics, formats, captions, and planned publishing dates.
• Prepare content in advance to support a consistent posting schedule.
• Manage priorities and meet deadlines within an approximately 10-hour weekly schedule.
• Monitor available social media metrics, including reach, impressions, engagement, follower growth, video views, shares, and saves.
• Track content performance and identify successful topics, formats, and trends.
• Use performance insights to refine content and support continued audience growth.
• Collaborate with the team to review realistic content and engagement goals.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Interest in social media marketing, digital content creation, branding, or communications.
• Strong written communication skills, creativity and an eye for visual presentation.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• Experience with tools such as Canva, CapCut, or social media scheduling platforms is a plus, but not required.

Employment Type: Temporary Internship: The initial term of employment will be about three months. Following this period, the firm may, at its sole discretion and based on performance and business requirements, consider the possibility of offering a full-time position. No promise or guarantee of continued or full-time employment is implied or made.

Schedule: Approximately 10 hours per week

Location: Richmond, VA

Setting: Typically sitting at a desk, intermittently sitting, standing, or walking.
