Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Kaiser Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery involved in metal fabrication and machining processes. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining tools with precision and adherence to technical specifications.
- Set up and calibrate equipment including press brakes, stamping presses, forming machines, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to accurately produce parts.
- Perform machine tool setup, tooling adjustments, and calibration for various fabrication processes such as plasma cutting and sheet metal forming.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments to verify dimensions and adherence to safety standards in production.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols during machine operation and handling materials.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery including laser cutters, mills, lathes, plasma cutters, stamping presses, and forming equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency in shop math, basic math skills necessary for measurement conversions and calculations.
- Familiarity with safety standards related to manufacturing environments and machine operation.
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision tools for quality control.
- Knowledge of welding techniques, machining tool setup, sheet metal fabrication, and tooling management is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety protocol adherence during all phases of production.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members on assembly processes and technical adjustments.
