Senior Litigation Attorney
Location: Scottsdale, Arizona; Need to be barred in Arizona
Overview
An established and expanding litigation finance platform is seeking a civil litigation attorney to take ownership of active matters while contributing to the growth of a collaborative and performance-driven team. This role offers meaningful autonomy, no billable hour requirements, and the ability to work closely with leadership on both legal and operational initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage a docket of civil litigation matters from pre-litigation through resolution
- Lead discovery, motion practice, and case strategy development
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, and key filings
- Interface with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders
- Mentor junior attorneys and support staff as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling complex civil litigation matters, including commercial litigation, business disputes, plaintiff-side litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, mass torts, or other high-exposure matters.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate litigation risk, damages, settlement strategy, and case value.
- Interest in working within a fast-growing, innovative legal organization.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to take on increased responsibility, leadership opportunities, and meaningful case ownership.
- Experience contributing to firm growth, client development, team leadership, or strategic initiatives is preferred.
