Job Description
The Commercial Counsel is responsible for negotiating, drafting, and managing a broad range of commercial agreements while improving contracting efficiency through effective use of CLM systems and AI-driven legal tools. Partnering closely with sales and cross‑functional teams, this role streamlines contract workflows, enhances contract quality and consistency, and provides practical, business-focused legal support.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate, draft, and manage commercial contracts-including global and regional sales agreements-aligned with business objectives and internal standards.
- Enhance and optimize CLM usage to improve negotiation, execution, and post‑execution contract management.
- Use AI-enabled tools to improve contract review, risk assessment, drafting efficiency, and automate routine tasks to deliver faster, higher-quality legal support.
- Provide clear, commercially oriented legal advice that supports strategic business initiatives and complex commercial transactions.
Experience & Skills
- 5 years of experience in a large law firm or in-house at a company with significant domestic and international operations.
- Strong background in commercial transactions, including drafting and negotiating sales agreements.
- Proven ability to interpret and communicate contract language and complex commercial issues to internal stakeholders.
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
