Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail oriented and dependable Medical Billing Specialist to join our multidisciplinary clinic. Our practice offers Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, Primary Care, and Massage services, providing a dynamic and collaborative healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to multitask in a fast paced setting. While prior billing experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and submit both electronic and paper medical claims to insurance companies.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Post insurance and patient payments accurately and reconcile patient accounts.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations as needed.
• Communicate with patients regarding billing questions, balances, and payment options.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure proper coding and documentation across multiple specialties.
• Scheduling patients and answering phones
• Assist with patient flow
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient and financial information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in medical billing or healthcare administration preferred.
• Previous experience in medical billing, insurance processing, or a healthcare office setting preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT/ICD coding, and EHR systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
