What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Financial Operations position at Larry Spacc GMC?
Core Responsibilities:
- Daily cash & deal control — reconcile every deal jacket
- F&I product reconciliation — verify every F&I product sold is remitted, chargebacks are tracked, penetration numbers tie out to actual funded deals.
- Payroll & commission audit — verify commission structures match the pay plans
- Monthly financial statement prep — factory statement (GMC) accuracy, working with outside CPA, catching errors before they become 20-Group embarrassments.
- Fraud/loss prevention — internal controls on cash, parts inventory shrinkage, service ticket manipulation, vendor invoice verification.
- Weekly gross/expense report —
Ideal background: Prior dealership controller or assistant controller experience (they'll know GMC factory statements, DealerSocket/CDK, and floor plan structures out of the box) — this is not a generic bookkeeper role.
Reporting cadence: Daily deal audit → weekly gross/expense rollup → monthly full financial statement with variance notes.
Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
