Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Office Building Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our commercial office spaces. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of office spaces, restrooms, hallways, conference rooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Handle various cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors with floor buffers and care equipment, trash removal, and sanitation procedures
- Follow safety protocols when handling chemical agents and cleaning supplies to ensure a safe environment for yourself and others
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy furniture or equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through buffing, polishing, and proper floor care techniques to preserve their appearance and safety
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and other consumables to ensure continuous facility operation
- Adhere to all safety procedures related to chemical handling safety procedures and custodial best practices while performing daily duties
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial roles with janitorial experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor buffers, sanitation standards, and industrial cleaning methods
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Ability to follow detailed safety protocols and maintain a clean environment consistently
