  • Oversee CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, lease-related accounting, and reserve activity.
  • Partner with Asset Management and Property Management teams to analyze operating results, explain variances, and improve financial performance.
  • Review budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting while assisting with annual business planning.
  • Coordinate annual audits and work directly with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Develop, document, and improve accounting processes and internal controls as the organization continues to scale.
  • Mentor and review the work of junior accountants while helping build a high-performing accounting team.
  • Participate in acquisitions, property transitions, and integration of newly acquired assets into the accounting environment.
  • Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on property or real estate accounting.
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring staff is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and property accounting principles.
  • Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting month-end close.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across Accounting, Asset Management, Operations, and executive leadership.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Yardi property management/accounting software.
  • CPA or CPA-track is a plus.
  • Experience supporting residential, industrial, multifamily, office, or mixed-use real estate portfolios.
  • Experience working in a private equity-backed or institutional real estate environment is a plus.

Why Join?

  • Join a high-growth real estate investment platform with an active acquisition strategy.
  • Opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and have meaningful visibility across the organization.
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture with significant opportunity for career advancement.
  • Diverse responsibilities with exposure to acquisitions, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Competitive compensation, bonus potential, comprehensive benefits, and a hybrid work schedule.
