Parts Counter Associate

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Basic Function: The Parts Counter Associate is responsible for a wide variety of parts Retail activities including shipping, delivering and receiving of industrial engine parts, ancillaries and other duties as assigned.Creating Start to Finish transactions and maintaining a working relationship with Key customers. This position reports directly to the Parts Manager.

Position Requirements: Mechanical/technical aptitude, safe work habits, a good working knowledge of engine components and mechanical functions. Strong knowledge of industrial brands including Caterpillar, Cummins, John Deere and others. Customer service oriented, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, able to adapt to the people and environment around them – customers, suppliers and co-workers.

Knowledge of and the ability to adhere to Company policies and work requirements.

Experience and Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

May be required to perform administrative office duties.

Essential Functions: Physical ability to work in all the elements of outdoor conditions and drive company vehicles when necessary.

Physical ability required to lift and carrying equipment, some with weights up to 80-100 lbs.

Position requires the following physical activities:

Standing 30%; Stooping/bending 20%; Walking 20%; Kneeling 20%; Sitting 5%; Climbing 5%

Required Experience:

Warehouse – Minimum of 3-5 years

Parts – Minimum 3-5 years
