We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Trim & General Carpenter to implement complex construction, restoration, and remodeling projects. Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of residential construction and restoration projects, ensuring adherence to blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans.
- Coordinate with other carpenters, masons, drywall installers, and other tradespeople to ensure efficient workflow.
- Interpret construction plans and technical drawings accurately to guide fabrication, framing, siding, stucco, tile laying, and other specialized tasks.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for woodworking, metal stud framing, fixture installation, caulking, plastering, and finishing work with precision.
- Manage heavy lifting operations and ensure proper use of power tool safety practices.
- Implement the installation of doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry, built ins and mold remediation measures, water damage restoration efforts, and other repair or remodeling activities.
- Manage project timelines and materials procurement while maintaining quality standards; collaborate with Site Superintendent to meet their expectations.
Qualifications
- Extensive construction experience with a focus on residential carpentry and remodeling projects.
- Must have all necesary tools for a varied range of general and trim carpentry projects.
- Proven expertise in construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and working with construction plans.
- Skilled in using hand tools as well as power tools for woodworking, metal stud framing, fixture installation, siding, stucco application, tile laying, and masonry.
- Knowledge of wood construction materials such as drywall compounds, siding materials (vinyl or fiber cement), rebar installation for concrete work, and other building supplies.
- Experience with water damage restoration processes including mold remediation; familiarity with plastering techniques is a plus.
- Strong understanding of power tool safety protocols; capable of heavy lifting safely on active job sites.
- Ability to work efficiently and a quality pace while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship; excellent problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
- Valid experience in the new construction industry or related fields such as remodeling and renovations.
