A Day in the Life:

Prepare and cook meals following approved recipes and dietary requirements

Complete ingredient prep including portioning, slicing, and measuring for upcoming meals

Ensure all meals meet proper temperature, texture, and presentation standards

Keep workstations clean and organized before, during, and after each shift
-
Sanitize equipment and surfaces and complete scheduled kitchen cleaning tasks

Assist with plating and meal service during high-volume periods or special events

Label and rotate leftovers and thawed items following food safety guidelines

Monitor and report supply needs, equipment issues, or food quality concerns

Support kitchen teammates with communication, collaboration, and a can-do attitude
Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age
-
High school diploma or GED preferred
-
Food Handler’s Card (State of Kansas) required
-
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or high-volume prep environment preferred
-
Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen protocols
-
Must pass a physical exam and meet all vaccination and TB screening requirements
-
Must be dependable, organized, and available for weekend or holiday shifts
