What are the responsibilities and job description for the Car/Shop Clean up position at Larkin Collision Center?
Duties
- Perform vehicle exterior washing using appropriate cleaning equipment, ensuring thorough removal of dirt, grime, and debris
- Conduct vehicle paint correction and buffing to restore shine and remove surface imperfections using automotive buffers and polishing tools
- Detail vehicle interiors by vacuuming, cleaning upholstery, dashboards, windows, and other surfaces to achieve a pristine appearance
- Operate standard passenger cars safely, including manual transmission vehicles, adhering to safe work practices at all times
- Maintain the cleanliness of the auto detailing facility by sweeping, mopping, disposing of waste, and organizing supplies
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning equipment or moving supplies around the shop safely
- Support overall vehicle cleanliness maintenance during car washes or detailing processes to ensure high-quality results
Qualifications
- Prior experience in auto detailing, car wash operations, or custodial work is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of vehicle paint correction, buffing techniques, and interior detailing methods is advantageous
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, pressure washers, and other janitorial tools safely
- Strong understanding of safe work practices when handling chemicals and equipment in an auto shop environment
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; experience with driving standard passenger cars is a plus
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods while performing cleaning duties
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
