Larimer County
Fort Collins, CO Full Time
POSTED ON 7/30/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/28/2026
Overview

The District Court Division of the District Attorney's Office seeks a legal assistant to provide responsible legal assistance and technical support to the professional staff. This includes preparing and processing legal documents, researching and exchanging information with the Court and criminal justice agencies, and providing confidential and complex administrative support. During trial, legal assistants will coordinate witnesses and assist with AV equipment. They interact with the public by taking calls and answering questions regarding cases, and will communicate with law enforcement regarding reports.

The office is open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. After a 90-day probationary period, staff may be given a telecommuting option 1-2 days per week. Legal Assistants are expected to be available during trials, so periodic flexibility will be required.

The District Attorney’s Office follows a blind hiring process. During the initial screening, hiring managers will only see your application, with your name and other identifying personal information redacted. Resumes and cover letters will be reviewed later, so please ensure your application is fully completed.

Applicants must upload a cover letter addressed to Anita Nemitz, Legal Staff Manager.

  • Coordinating legal activities and documents with judicial, penal, and other external systems and parties
