The Ranch in Loveland is home to a wide variety of livestock and equestrian events. From rodeos to horse shows to livestock exhibitions and 4H events, you’ll be part of the hands-on team that transform our barns and arenas for each event.
This is a physical, fast-paced position where every event is different! You’ll work around horses and livestock, operate equipment, maintain arena footing, set up stalls and panels, and help create a safe, clean, and professional experience for exhibitors, animals and guests.
We’re looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who enjoy hands-on work, are comfortable working around animals, and are willing to learn. Experience with livestock, horses, equipment, or arena maintenance is a plus, but a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and willingness to learn are just as important.

Set up, convert, and tear down barns and arenas for events, including moving panels, stalls, fencing, stalls, tables, equipment, and other event materials.
Perform physically demanding work such as lifting panels, configuring stalls, distributing bedding and removing waste.
Operating tractors and equipment to prepare and maintain arena footing by watering, dragging and leveling arenas to desired discipline requirements.
Clean and maintain barns, arenas, event spaces, restrooms, grounds, and other facility areas before, during, and after events.
Support event operations and participants by responding to requests, providing directions, monitoring facility conditions, and helping events run safely and efficiently.
Operate tools and equipment safely and report hazards, maintenance concerns, accidents, or other issues.

What we're looking for:
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical, hands-on work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible event schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently or as part of a team, and adapt to changing event needs and priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, including recognizing and reporting hazards around animals, equipment, and the public.
- Ability to communicate professionally and provide helpful customer service to coworkers, participants, vendors, and guests.
- Comfort working around horses and livestock, with an understanding of safe animal handling, barn operations, and event flow.
- Ability and willingness to learn to safely operate tools and equipment such as tractors, arena drags, water trucks, skid steers, and forklifts.
- Knowledge or experience with equestrian arena preparation and footing for different disciplines, such as reining, barrel racing, rodeo, or hunter/jumper events, is highly desirable.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License preferred.
- Previous experience in event operations, livestock, arena maintenance, general labor, or customer service is preferred.

The typical schedule for this position is part-time, averaging 20–29 hours per week. Weekend availability is essential due to the nature of events held at The Ranch, and holiday work may be required during major events. This position does not include overnight, on-call, or remote work responsibilities.
This position requires the ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and maintain a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts during events. Regular and predictable attendance is required. The role involves physical activity, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and performing other physical labor for extended periods. Employees must be able to work safely around equipment, livestock, event participants, and the public while demonstrating a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
