Overview

Are you skilled in working with software applications? Larimer County Health and Environment is seeking a collaborative and customer-focused individual to join our team. The typical schedule for this position is 8:00-4:30, and 3-4 days per week are required to be in person at the Fort Collins office. At home work is allowable up to 2 days per week based on LCDHE needs and supervisor approval. During the initial 6 month probationary period at home work is allowable up to 1 day per week.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

  • Works with users to support business applications, including electronic health record software, environmental health software, and investigates operational problems/system requirements.
  • Responsible for the configuration, testing, and implementation of new and existing applications, software systems, modules, or functionality.
  • Sets up and maintains user system access, security profiles, and roles according to established procedures; provides troubleshooting, account unlocks, password resets.
  • Provides on-site technical support in coordination with the IT department for hardware including laptops, hotspots, printers, scanners, signature tablets, mobile devices, and other technical equipment.
  • Supports onboarding and off-boarding of employees.

What We're Looking For

  • Routine software and business applications including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and databases.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and a commitment to adhering to security practices when working with patient health information.
  • Knowledge or experience implementing and supporting electronic health records software.
  • Knowledge of or experience using enterprise software systems.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting tools and techniques related to business applications, computer hardware and software, and related technology issues.
  • Familiarity with applications analysis and issue resolution (trouble shooting) skills.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other County employees, representatives of other agencies and organizations, and members of the community.

  • Two (2) years of related applications support or systems support experience required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
