Key Responsibilities

• Provide clear vision, strong leadership, and renewed direction for the youth/young adult ministry.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan that rebuilds and aligns the ministry with the church’s mission, vision and core-values.
• Deliver biblically sound, Gospel-centered teaching that engages and inspires students and young adults.
• Recruit, equip, and empower volunteers, leaders, and staff to build a healthy ministry team.
• Design and cultivate intentional discipleship pathways that foster spiritual growth and deeper engagement.
• Reestablish and strengthen relationships with students, parents, and church leadership.
• Partner with the Sunday School Director to collaborate on goals, direction, and vision for the youth ministry, ensuring alignment in ministry objectives, programming, spiritual development, and overall engagement strategies for youth and families.
• Relaunch and lead programs, events, retreats, and mission opportunities with excellence
• Oversee and steward ministry operations, including budget, logistics, and safety protocols.
• Provide compassionate pastoral care, guidance, and support to students and families.
• Leverage digital tools and media to reconnect and engage students in meaningful ways.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Theology, Christian Education, or related field) from an accredited seminary or Bible College
• 5–7 years of youth ministry experience with at least 2–3 years in a Director, Associate, or Lead Pastor role in a church comparable size
• Strong, mature grasp of biblical theology; fully aligned with Largo Community Church’s Statement of Faith
• Proven ability to deliver exegetical, Gospel-centered, and culturally relevant teaching to students, with occasional adult teaching
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute a strategic plan for youth ministry
• Background in outreach or community engagement with students
• Strong leadership in team building, volunteer development, and ministry oversight
• Experience in budgeting, planning, and program management
• Understanding of adolescent culture and development
• Experience partnering with parents to strengthen family-based discipleship
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with ministry tools (e.g., Planning Center, ProPresenter, social media)
• Ability to pass a background check and uphold child safety standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience revitalizing, rebuilding, or relaunching a youth ministry
• Demonstrated ability to grow a ministry from a smaller base to sustained engagement

Pay: $84,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
