Job Summary β MacOS Automation Engineer- Ohio
- Design, build, and operationalize automated macOS application packaging and distribution solutions, focusing on high-volume application delivery.
- Develop and maintain macOS installer packages (pkg, dmg formats), ensuring code signing, notarization, and compliance with security workflows.
- Author, test, and maintain AutoPkg recipes using processor-based models, including development of custom Python processors for automation, security scanning, metadata tagging, and compliance integration.
- Ensure auditable, deterministic build outputs with clear version control, traceability, and artifact management using Git and GitHub best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, security, application owners) to validate standards, define packaging guardrails, and establish repeatable release workflows.
- Contribute to documentation and operational runbooks to enable sustainable, day-to-day execution and knowledge transfer.
- Stay up to date and leverage relevant tools/technologies: macOS packaging tools, AutoPkg, Python, Git/GitHub.
- Apply AI-assisted development practices where appropriate to improve productivity and maintain high standards for quality, security, and auditability.
- Preferred: Experience with automation pipelines, Workspace ONE, Omnissa Intelligence, modern web frameworks, and API interface design for future portal enablement.
