We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Pastor to work together with our Ministry Team to serve our faith community with enthusiasm and spiritual guidance. Duties
- Lead Sunday worship services, including sermons, prayers, and scripture readings that resonate with the congregation.
- Provide pastoral counseling and spiritual guidance to individuals and families facing various life challenges, including terminal illness, grief, or personal crises.
- Offer bereavement support by guiding grieving families through mourning processes with compassion and understanding.
- Facilitate Bible study classes and other group activities to deepen faith knowledge and spiritual growth among community members.
- Collaborate with community organizations to plan events that promote faith-based initiatives and outreach efforts.
- Deliver crisis intervention and conflict management support during emergencies or sensitive situations within the congregation.
- Mentor church members and volunteer leaders to foster leadership development and active participation in church activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a clergyperson or in a religious leadership role within a nonprofit or faith-based organization is preferred.
- Strong background in biblical theology, religious studies, and Christian counseling techniques.
- Exceptional public speaking skills with the ability to communicate complex spiritual concepts clearly and engagingly.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and foster a faith-based family community atmosphere.
- Experience providing counseling and working with families during difficult times.
- Excellent writing skills for preparing sermons, newsletters, and educational materials.
- Skilled in event planning, crisis intervention, conflict management, and mentoring others in faith-based settings.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
