Job Summary
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement and progress individualized treatment plans in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care following established plans of care
- Progress therapeutic exercises and functional activities appropriately
- Deliver skilled interventions including therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic activities, and manual techniques as directed
- Communicate patient progress with supervising Physical Therapist
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and self-management strategies
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Texas (or eligible)
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred; new graduates welcome
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to manage a full caseload in a fast-paced environment
