Qualifications Required: (*) Valid California Teaching Credential (*) English Learner Authorization (CLAD, BCLAD, EL Authorization, or equivalent) (*) Demonstrated success teaching English Learners (*) Deep knowledge of California ELD Standards, ELPAC, reclassification criteria, and best practices for multilingual learners (*) Experience analyzing student achievement and language proficiency data (*) Strong communication, collaboration, coaching, and professional development facilitation skills (*) Possess/maintain valid infant, child and Adult CPR/First Aid/AED certification Preferred: (*) Master's degree in Education, TESOL, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field (*) Experience serving in an instructional leadership, coaching, TOSA, or coordinator role (*) Experience implementing and monitoring schoolwide ELD systems (*) Experience supporting both elementary and secondary instructional programs

Larchmont is a constructivist school. Constructivism is a theory of learning which holds that each of us has a unique schema of the world based on our lived experience and that by interacting with our environment we make connections to what we already know and construct new meaning. The diversity in the program – both the interdisciplinary project-based learning and the rich array of enrichment and elective offerings – music, art, movement, cooking, gardening, improvisation, and more K-12 – tap into our students’ multiple intelligences and facilitate them making connections across the curriculum.
