Job Summary
Larchmont Charter School seeks a highly qualified and experienced English Language Development (ELD) Coordinator to serve as a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) supporting English Learner (EL) students and staff across all TK–12 campuses. Working one day per week, the ELD Coordinator will lead the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the school's English Learner program, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements while advancing best practices in both Designated and Integrated ELD. The ELD Coordinator will collaborate with school leaders, teachers, intervention staff, and special education teams to strengthen instructional practices, monitor student progress, and build coherent systems that support English Learners' academic achievement and language development.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications Required: (*) Valid California Teaching Credential (*) English Learner Authorization (CLAD, BCLAD, EL Authorization, or equivalent) (*) Demonstrated success teaching English Learners (*) Deep knowledge of California ELD Standards, ELPAC, reclassification criteria, and best practices for multilingual learners (*) Experience analyzing student achievement and language proficiency data (*) Strong communication, collaboration, coaching, and professional development facilitation skills (*) Possess/maintain valid infant, child and Adult CPR/First Aid/AED certification Preferred: (*) Master's degree in Education, TESOL, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field (*) Experience serving in an instructional leadership, coaching, TOSA, or coordinator role (*) Experience implementing and monitoring schoolwide ELD systems (*) Experience supporting both elementary and secondary instructional programs
