As a Director of Residential Services, you'll play a pivotal role in connecting, empowering, and uplifting the individual we serve by providing and carrying out the comprehensive Plan of Care. In this role, you'll lead initiatives designed to address unique needs, foster inclusivity, and promote a sense of belonging, working closely with natural supports and an interdisciplinary team. As Director of Residential Services, Your Job Duties consist of:
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations, including laundry, buildings, and grounds maintenance, to ensure safety, health, and cleanliness standards are met.
- Formulate and institute policies and regulations in consultation with staff, prioritizing resident rights and confidentiality.
Staff Management
- Assist Group Home Managers with interview, hire, and train new personnel while coordinating and monitoring schedules for all personnel.
- Directly supervise Group Home Managers and their team, Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) employees, an Officer Manager and Maintenance Helper.
- Carrying out responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Monitor staffing levels and working with Group Home Managers, Training, and Recruiting to fully staff, training, and retain top talent.
Program Implementation:
- Coordinate educational, security, recreational, and rehabilitation programs to support residents' physical, mental, and social well-being.
- Assist in planning multidiscipline staffing for clients assigned to residential sites, ensuring access to medical, dental, social, and behavioral resources.
Financial Management:
- Review and approve requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment, as well as monitoring staff time and attendance and agency staffing.
- Prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, and compile and analyze expenditures and projected costs.
Community Engagement:
- Periodically review the need for additional residential sites, staying abreast of community needs.
- Conduct monthly inspections to ensure all residential facilities conform to the highest standards.
Director Of Residential Services Job Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree, master's degree, or equivalent; or four to eight years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Effective communication with all Group Home Managers and their teams, and Executive Leadership.
- Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic mathematical operations and the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Reasoning Ability: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret technical instructions, define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Certificates & Licenses: Required criminal history check of all persons working with individuals with disabilities.
- Other Skills & Abilities: Experience working with individuals with Developmentally Disability, preferably in a residential setting. Ability to conduct meetings and provide guidance to Group Home Managers and Teams.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required travel to group homes and assess situations with staff and the individual we serve.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- The work environment includes a blend of office and on-site responsibilities, with occasional flexibility in scheduling to accommodate personal commitments.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
