Duties
- Perform a wide range of hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, coloring, and special occasion styles, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Apply hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading techniques to enhance client looks.
- Use salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Educate clients on color theory, hair care routines, and product recommendations to promote healthy hair and boost retail sales through upselling.
- Maintain salon sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools like straight razors and adhering to sanitation protocols.
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling inquiries professionally.
- Mentor junior team members in hair styling techniques, customer service excellence, and store management practices.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in hair styling and cutting techniques.
- Proficiency in advanced services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively connect with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and retail management.
- Experience with retail math and upselling strategies to increase product sales.
- Ability to perform sanitation procedures meticulously using tools like straight razors and other implements.
