Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms to meet hotel standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces regularly.
• Handle cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely and efficiently in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols.
• Manage floor care tasks including stripping, waxing, buffing, and deep cleaning using industrial cleaning tools.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or equipment while adhering to manual handling safety procedures.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries politely and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services with knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques.
• Familiarity with floor cleaning methods such as vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and floor care maintenance.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while maintaining sanitation standards; knowledge of chemical handling procedures is essential.
• Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting and moving supplies or furniture efficiently and safely.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, extractors, and other janitorial tools.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and custodial experience is preferred.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all staff and guests.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
