Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to ensure safety and compliance with health standards.
- Handle laundry duties efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens.
- Clean floors using various methods such as sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor care techniques to preserve their appearance and durability.
- Manage outdoor work tasks when necessary, including outdoor surface cleaning and light landscaping support.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively while adhering to manual handling guidelines for heavy lifting or moving furniture.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding their specific needs or special requests related to housekeeping services.
Experience
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with a strong understanding of janitorial or custodial practices.
- Familiarity with cleaning surfaces, floor care, carpet cleaning, and the use of various cleaning detergents and equipment.
- Experience in laundry management and handling cleaning supplies responsibly.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently while juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior outdoor work experience is a plus, along with excellent customer service skills for client communication.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to sanitation procedures and manual handling is essential.
