Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Night Auditor to join our hospitality team at the SOON TO OPEN LaQuinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Jamaica JFK/Airtrain. The ideal candidate will possess strong guest service skills, hospitality management knowledge, and the ability to manage front desk operations during overnight hours. This role is essential in ensuring smooth hotel operations, accurate financial reporting, and exceptional guest experiences during the night shift. Multilingual abilities and hotel management experience are highly valued to enhance guest relations and communication.
Responsibilities
- Perform nightly audit procedures, including balancing accounts and reconciling transactions to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Manage front desk operations during overnight hours, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally.
- Handle multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and courteously.
- Maintain accurate records of guest accounts, reservations, and billing information.
- Assist with guest relations by resolving issues and ensuring a positive stay experience.
- Monitor security and safety protocols throughout the property during night hours.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure property standards are maintained overnight.
- Prepare reports for management regarding occupancy, revenue, and other operational metrics.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality management or hotel front desk operations is preferred.
- Experience with night audit procedures or hotel management systems is highly desirable.
- Bilingual skills or multilingual capabilities are a significant advantage for communicating with diverse guests.
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and handling multi-line phone systems.
- Knowledge of guest services, hotel operations, and hospitality industry standards is essential.
- Prior experience working in resorts or similar hospitality environments will be beneficial.
