Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by executing regular cleaning routines
- Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or supplies, ensuring manual handling procedures are followed to prevent injury
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and maintain sanitation standards throughout the property in compliance with hotel emergency procedures
- Use janitorial equipment effectively to deliver high-quality floor care, including mopping, polishing, and vacuuming floors
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or cleaning needs
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles within hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and understand safety data sheets (SDS) for all cleaning products used
- Manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude towards guests and team members
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops, and other janitorial tools
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management procedures and hotel emergency protocols is preferred
- Previous experience in hotel experience or janitorial experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
