What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Lapez Mod Mex - Central West End?
The bartender provides timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our guests. The bartender’s primary objectives are to distribute alcohol responsibly and to show our guests such a good time they will want to return.
What You’ll Do:
- Work in a fast-paced, team-driven restaurant focused on scratch cooking, craft cocktails, and an extensive wine list.
- Execute all steps of service while maintaining a high level of hospitality
- Collaborate with the culinary and bar team committed to excellence and continuous learning
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and station organization
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of full service bartending experience (upscale or craft cocktail bars preferred)
- Strong communication skills
- Passion for regional Mexican and Spanish flavors and a willingness to grow
- Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain attention to detail
- Dependability, positive attitude, and strong work ethic

Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age (Adhere to MO liquor laws)
- Previous restaurant experience
- Previous bartending experience highly preferred
- Clean and hygienic appearance
- Ability to stand, walk, bend etc for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Understanding of drink making tools and techniques, basic cocktail knowledge
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
