Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Follow established protocols and procedures for medication compounding, labeling, and packaging
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and handling
- Assist in the management of medication orders, including verifying prescriptions and entering data into the pharmacy system
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
- Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and inventory management
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with aseptic technique for sterile compounding
