What are the responsibilities and job description for the Timber Fabricator position at Lapeer Lumber & Truss?
We have an immediate opening for an Entry Level Timber Fabricator!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Unload & load shipments
- Layout & fabrication of timber
- Sanding & finishing of timber and other wood components
- Wrapping & storing timber, connection steel, hardware, etc.
- Provide assistance to Fabrication Manager as necessary
Skills we are seeking in a qualified candidate:
- Must be able to pass a drug test and physical
- Must have experience using hand tools and small power tools
- Must have High school diploma/GED
- Must be willing to use large power tools (ex. timber circular saws, etc.)
- 2 years of carpentry experience is preferred
- Ability to read blueprints is preferred
- Experience with Crane, Rigging, and Signaling is preferred
- OSHA 10 safety regulation certified is preferred
- Valid driver's license is preferred
- First Aid training is preferred
- Forklift certification is preferred
