As a Respite Care Provider, you will select the tasks, time, and duration that you desire to work.
Position Overview
As a Respite Care Provider, you will offer in-home, community, or childcare-based support to families who need an extra hand. You'll have the flexibility to choose your schedule, location, and types of tasks that best match your skills and comfort level.
Examples of support may include:
- Helping children with daily routines (mealtime, bedtime, or playtime)
- Assisting with school pick-ups, appointments, or community outings
- Supporting in a childcare center or early learning setting
- Providing supervision and companionship
- Supporting learning, behavior, or sensory activities for children with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, Down syndrome, or physical disabilities, based on your experience, skills, and comfort level
- Offering breaks for parents and caregivers
- Assisting during medical or therapy visits
