Job Highlights
Operations:
- Operate manual valves, perform minor maintenance activity, operate a central control room, perform analytical work in field labs, and ensure equipment is safe to operate.
- Monitor and operate equipment and facilities; including field equipment that insure quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
- Operates valves, pumps, compressors, blowers, blenders and extruders etc.
- Troubleshoots equipment using mechanical knowledge, equipment specification sheets and manufacturer literature to restore to operation.
- Operates material handling equipment to transport materials, in-process goods, packaging components and equipment within the operating facilities.
- Conduct housekeeping and 5S
- Performs basic maintenance and troubleshooting on automated control systems and computer workstations.
- Takes liquid, solid, or gas samples from process and service lines to perform field analysis.
- Performing sequences of operations required to operate or support the operation of chemical processes.
- Safely work with pressure, temperature, level and flow in pipe systems and using pressure gauge for leak testing.
- Safely handle hazardous and non-hazardous materials and wastes in compliance with all plant requirements and environmental regulations.
HSEQ / Safety:
- Lock out/Tag out equipment for Construction and Maintenance
- Participates in and accepts all Safety, Environmental and Health responsibilities.
- Promote and enforce established HSEQ policies and procedures.
- Maintain Core Values: safety, health, and environmental, highest ethical behavior, and respect for people
- Usage of Personal protective equipment according to PPE-Matrix
KPIs:
- Achieving and maintaining production targets, quality standards, and equipment within their work environment.
- Uphold manufacturing standards and KPIs on the manufacturing units
- Support and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives and processes to promote consistent, high-quality products, streamlining of operations to meet customer requirements.
Experience / Skills
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two-year Certificate/Associate Degree in Process Technology, OR Three (3) years Chemical/Petrochemical Operator experience, OR Five (5) years of chemical packing experience.
- Willingness and ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime, including holidays, weekends, and on short notice call in as required.
- Willingness and ability to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hardhat, protective eyewear, face shields, arc protective clothing, and SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus).
- Willing and able to work in a high-hazard process.
- Willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, ladders, columns, and to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, reach overhead, hear and respond to alarms, and possess visual acuity for close work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) and able to learn new computer systems.
