We are seeking an enthusiastic Sr. Contract Specialist to join our Contracts team supporting the most exciting projects in the aerospace industry. This role can be based in our Palo Alto, CA office or also be performed remotely in the US.
This position will work closely with senior contracts management, business development, program managers, finance, legal and other functional groups in managing domestic and international aerospace contracts to achieve strong customer satisfaction, resolve contractual issues, and perform customer coordination in accordance with agreement terms. Additionally, diligent focus and creativity is required in responding to requests for proposals and assisting with the negotiation of complex agreements, including identifying and addressing risk elements of agreements and necessary coordination with program, legal, finance and business teams, as well as management.

Job Responsibilities
- Reviewing and obtaining approval of contractual documents and adherence to company policies and acceptable risk positions.
- Coordinate the submission of invoices and conduct payment collection activities with customers when required.
- Maintaining a keen attention to detail.
- Establishing and managing company contractual records.
- Ability to offer guidance and work cooperatively with a range of internal stakeholders.
- Commitment and energy to meet customer needs and completion timeframes.
- Negotiation of supporting documents such as non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements, teaming agreements, memorandums of understanding and other agreements.
- Assisting with the Implementation, data entry and generating tracking reports from financial and contracts management systems.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, four additional years of experience can be substituted for a degree
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in contract negotiation, management, and business administration
- Experience with legal and financial principles and regulations (i.e. FAR, NFS, DFARS) governing federal and/or commercial contracts
- Proven ability to actively pursue problem resolution and obtain needed coordination
- Ability to work independently and make independent decisions, ensuring high levels of collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Demonstrated experience in the aerospace business
- Experience in or familiarity with ITAR and export licensing laws and regulations.
- Superior problem-solving skills.
- The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually.
- The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually.
- The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually.
- The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $83,000.00 - $139,000.00 annually.
- The base pay for this position within California is: $87,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually.
