Why You Matter:
Responsible for planning and managing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from initial project approval through launch. Projects will involve development of new products as well as updates to existing products. This position works closely with the Product Manager, the R&D and Production Engineering teams and ensures that the project achieves specified technical, performance, reliability and quality aspects as well as delivery schedule, and cost/margin requirements. Has primary responsibility for facilitating timely and effective problem resolution cross functionally within the project, communicating project status cross functionally and escalating decisions to the appropriate levels to ensure project targets are maintained or modified when required.
Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do:
As an NPI Project Manager you will:
- Works cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, R&D and other key stakeholders to develop the Scope of Work for the project.
- Works closely with the Product Development Team Leaders to execute projects within Lantech's Stage Gate development processes.
- Meets regularly with the assigned Cross Functional Team to develop, execute and monitor functional area launch plans.
- Monitors weekly deliverables and milestones through project completion to ensure SOW requirements are being met.
- Reports status of projects within Lantech's daily/bi-weekly/quarterly review processes.
- Facilitates timely and effective problem resolution to keep the project on track.
- Escalates required decisions to the appropriate levels to ensure project targets are maintained or modified when necessary.
What are We Looking For? (Requirements)
- 3-5 years leading medium to large (6-12 month) NPI or other cross discipline type projects.
- Proficient with Microsoft office, especially MS Project.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Highly motivated self-starter.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a cross functional team.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent education and experience in a commercial or industrial OEM environment.
- PMP certification is a plus.
