General Responsibilities:
The Recovery Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Lantana Recovery by ensuring reliable transportation for clients while also fostering a safe and welcoming treatment environment. This entry-level position offers exposure to the behavioral health field and serves as a potential pathway into clinical support roles such as Recovery Manager.
Responsibilities include:
Client Transportation:
- Safely transport clients to and from Lantana Recovery programming, meetings, ancillary appointments and community partners using company-provided vehicles
- Maintain an organized and timely transportation schedule in coordination with the front office
- Complete vehicle safety checks and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Ensure client safety and uphold behavioral expectations during transport
Program Support:
- Assist with basic milieu management tasks (e.g., room checks, common area monitoring) after client drop-offs
- Provide light engagement and support to clients during pick-up and wait times
- Maintain and review a shift report to ensure continuity of information across staff and shifts
- Support administrative or operational tasks as directed by leadership
- Maintain documentation of client interactions or incidents as required
Onsite Housing responsibilities:
- General oversight of the daily operation of the sober living house
- Facilitate weekly house meetings
- Transportation to meetings/activities
Qualifications include:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building rapport with clients
- Comfortable working with individuals in early recovery
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage schedules independently
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
