4th and 5th Grade Teacher

In pursuit of this mission, we are hiring elementary teachers. This individual will ensure our students receive world-class instruction in a safe and welcoming environment. Teachers must work to build inclusive, nurturing classrooms where students can be themselves and work collaboratively towards common learning goals. Teachers will work alongside other teachers, parents, and students to ensure they are providing the best education experience to all students.

In pursuit of this mission, we are hiring a 4th and 5th Grade Teacher for Wexford. This individual will ensure our K-5 students receive world-class instruction in all content areas. Our teachers must also work to build safe, nurturing classrooms where students can be themselves and work collaboratively towards common learning goals. Teachers will work alongside other teachers, parents, and students to ensure they are providing the best education experience to all students.

• Bachelor's degree in education
• Previous experience working with elementary students
• Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an elementary endorsement (i.e. ZC, ZG, ZO, ZP)
• Previous teaching experience in an urban setting
• Training in CRPBIS, LETRS, Go Math, UFLi, and other related instructional methodologies

• Demonstrate passion for and expertise of elementary content
• Provide world-class instruction in math, literacy, social studies, and science to elementary students
• Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction
• Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions
• Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
• Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission

• Bachelor's degree in elementary education or related field
• Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values

• Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate with elementary endorsement (will be required to enroll in program if don't currently possess)
• Previous successful elementary teaching experience in urban setting

• Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction
• Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions
